Tom is our General Manager and has been with Mutual since 1988. With over 40 years in the propane industry he has years of experience in propane vehicle conversions, dispenser installations, and management.
Mr. Diaz is a Certified Corporate Trainer for Mutual Propane. In 1992 he received his LA City FD Certificate of Fitness, authorizing him to conduct fire / life safety emergency procedures training, fire drills and Emergency Evacuation Maps. Certifications include First Aid/CPR Instructor’s, HAZWOPER, Lock out Tag Out, Confined Space, Forklift Trainer and C.E.R.T. In 1996, Mr. Diaz became Safety Compliance Officer instructing workers on the SB-198 IIPP, winning two awards from the National Safety Council. 28 years’ experience in safety training, Mr. Diaz incorporates the Competency-Based Model and Cognitive-Training Model in a One-hour Propane Safety Workshop, guaranteeing a great learning experience for your employees.
Mr. Solorzano joined the Mutual Propane team in 2007 as Dispatcher and Customer Service Manager. Promoted to Plant Manager in 2013. His duties not only include managing Mutual Propane’s safety program, compliance with governing agencies and employee training but also to ensure that our customer’s expectations are met by completing projects in a safe, timely and efficient manner. In 2019 he was certified as a Proctor for PERC’s CTEP Employee Safety Program.

FAQ's
How long does it take to switch out a tank?
Installations range from 4 to 6 hours and under normal circumstances are completed on the same day of the swap out.
Do I lose the propane inside my tank?
The propane in your tank is pumped into the equipment you receive from us. *under special circumstances propane can not be transferred out. *no liquid valve, or malfunctioning valves.
Is there a charge?
Under normal circumstances there is no charge to swap out an existing installation.
What about my California Department of Industrial Relations DOSH Permit to Operate?
We will submit a Pressure Vessel Inspection Request Form. A State inspector will come to your facility and inspect the installation before issuing a new permit to operate.
Do I need a permit?
Permits are required for air tanks, LPG propane storage tanks over 125 gallons, and high pressure boilers over 15psig steam.
Other Authorities having jurisdiction may require permits. Call us for more information.
We specialize in keeping your equipment moving. With our Direct Fill Service, One of our propane powered bobtail trucks will come to your site, and fill your propane cylinders . A metered ticket is provided to you as proof of delivery. Our bobtails are Weights and Measures department approved and compliant with the AQMD and their low emission guidelines.
